About PHAF

Preconception Health Awareness Foundation

Preconception Health Awareness Foundation is a not-for-profit and non-governmental organization. We are pro-humanity with a commitment to transforming the society by reorienting values for optimum human development.

Across emerging economies, preconception health knowledge deficit is the missing link leading to a crisis of negative health outcomes. The silent tragedy of this deficit is that it doesn’t just harm individual patients — it compromises the well-being and the health of subsequent generations. This is a massive, underserved population whose future health depends on us closing this crucial information gap now.

Help is Our Goal

Building a Healthier Future, One Choice at a Time

Our Mission

To advocate for, educate, and equip the present generation (ages 18–25) with the tools to make informed choices about their reproductive psychology and health. We aim to enhance individual capacity to achieve optimal well-being and a thriving lifestyle through comprehensive preconception care and counseling.

Our Vision

To empower individuals and couples with the knowledge and mental fortitude necessary for optimal preconception health, ensuring every person is equipped to lead a productive, high-quality life. We strive to advance global health by integrating accessible mental health support and genetic counseling, enabling people to navigate their reproductive journey and daily well-being from a place of informed choice.

Our Promise

Advancing global preconception health by integrating accessible mental health support and genetic counseling education, enabling couples to build families from a place of informed choice — mentally, emotionally, and physically prepared for the journey of reproductive well-being.

What Make Us Different

Our "Why"

Across emerging economies, a deficit in preconception health knowledge acts as a "silent tragedy" that compromises the well-being of the present and subsequent generations. We believe humanity is progressive only when the future builds on a healthy past. By making informed decisions today, individuals can create a heritage of efficiency through healthy living.

Our "What"

A world where subsequent generations are empowered by today's decisions. We envision a future where every person has access to the reproductive health knowledge they need.

Preventative, Not Reactive

Young adults are currently waiting for problems to arise before testing. Our goal is to shift them toward baseline screening at age 20–25, normalizing proactive care.

Culturally Relevant

Our programs combine culturally relevant health education with accessible screening services, reaching communities through free health fairs, school outreach, and digital campaigns.

Leadership

Meet Our Founder

Pharm. Adeyinka Faramade Komolafe

Founder & Executive Director

Pharm. Adeyinka is a passionate public health advocate with a strong background in pharmaceutical consulting, community health education and wellness promotion.

Driven by personal experiences, she is deeply committed to bridging the gap in health literacy, and founded the organization in 2022 to empower underserved communities with the knowledge and resources needed to make informed reproductive health decisions.

A mother of four, a seasoned pharmacist and public health consultant, her long-standing ties with professional medical bodies has seen her witness firsthand how preventable reproductive illnesses stifled marriages and claimed lives due to lack of awareness. This inspired her to create programs that combine culturally relevant health education with accessible screening services.

Under her leadership, PHAF has reached individuals through free health fairs, school outreach programs, and digital campaigns. She holds a B.Pharm degree from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. Beyond her professional work, she mentors young health advocates and continues to pursue a future where every person is empowered with the knowledge and tools to achieve healthier life outcomes.
